Akemi 1 Liter Stone Impregnation is a ready-to-use product based on modified oligomeric alkylalkoxysiloxanes. The product is absorbed by the stone's capillary forces and so penetrates particularly deeply. The catalytic process produces polysiloxane. In addition, a reaction with the silicate substance of the stone occurs, resulting in high efficiency for several years.
Features
:
Stone impregnation is suitable for producing a water and dirt repellent effect on absorbent mineral substances such as natural and artificial stone (polished ground or rough surfaces of marble, lime stone, granite, gneiss, porphyry, cotto, terrazzo, unglazed ceramic tiles, etc.).
It also works well with bricks, sand-lime bricks, concrete, and mineral-based plaster.
Penetrates deeply into the stone, making it water-repellent while maintaining vapour permeability.
Protects facades from driving rain, causes water to pearl, and repels grime.
Consumption ranges from 1 to 15 m²/liter, depending on the absorbency and composition of the stone.

Applications
:
Akemi Stone Impregnation is designed to repel water and filth from absorbent mineral substances such as natural and artificial stone (polished ground or rough surfaces of marble, lime stone, granite, gneiss, porphyry, cotto, terrazzo, unglazed ceramic tiles, etc.). It also works well with bricks, sand-lime bricks, concrete, and mineral-based plaster.
Instructions for Use :
Cleaning. The surface must be clean, completely dry, and free of any coatings. Depending on the type of stone and the level of soiling, the following Akemi products are recommended: Stone cleaner, concrete film remover, rust remover, wax stripper, algae and moss remover, grease and oil remover paste, and graffiti remover. Please refer to the individual technical data sheets. In any case, after cleaning, thoroughly rinse with water. Before receiving its protective coating, the stone must be completely dry. Typically, this occurs within 1-2 days at most
Before beginning, we propose preparing a 1-2 m² sample area to assess impregnation efficiency, evaluate treated object appearance (color improvement), and accurately determine material consumption.
Impregnation procedure : a) The ideal temperature for impregnating is 15-25°C with humidity protection for around 2-3 hours. The stone should not be warmed by underfloor heating or direct sunshine.
b) The impregnating efficacy is adequate for fissures less than 0.3 mm. b) In general, one or two wet-in-wet equipment are sufficient. For less absorbent surfaces, we propose diluting with Akemi Nitro Dilution at a ratio of 1:1.
Note :
Disregarding the processing guidelines can lead to irreparable damage
