Usage
:
Preparation:
Prepare your idli batter according to your recipe.
Lightly grease the idli molds on each of the four trays.
Filling the Molds:
Pour the idli batter into each of the greased molds, filling them about three-quarters full.
Stack the filled idli trays into the idli maker.
Steaming:
Add water to the base of the idli maker, according to the instructions.
Place the idli trays inside the steamer.
Light the gas stove and place the idli maker on top.
Cover the idli maker with its lid.
Steam the idlis for the recommended time (typically 10-15 minutes).
Checking and Serving:
After the steaming time is complete, turn off the gas.
Carefully remove the lid.
Check if the idlis are cooked by inserting a knife or toothpick into one. If it comes out clean, the idlis are done.
Let the idlis cool slightly before removing them from the molds.
Serve the idlis hot with sambar and chutney.
Cleaning:
After use, ensure the machine is cooled down, and then clean all of the trays, and the inside of the machine.
Be cautious when handling hot steam and the gas stove.
Ensure proper ventilation when using gas appliances.
