Begin the Milking Process : Start the milking process, using the operating handle, the handle operates in a pumping action and creates vacuum and suction required for the milking process whereas the machine can also operate using the motor, as this machine can operate using both motor and hand.
Maintain Animal Comfort : Keep an eye on the animal’s behavior; if they appear restless or in distress, consider checking the fit of the cups or adjusting the suction level.
Watch for Milk Flow : As the milk begins to flow into the collection container, monitor the process to ensure a consistent flow. If the flow slows significantly, the cups may need to be repositioned or adjusted.
4. Finishing Up :
Remove the Teat Cups : Once milking is complete, turn off the machine carefully. Begin by gently detaching the teat cups, ensuring not to pull or yank them.
Clean the Machine : Clean the components that came in contact with the milk, thoroughly clean them with hot, soapy water. Rinse well and allow them to air dry to prevent bacterial growth.
Store the Milk : Transfer the collected milk into sanitized containers for storage. Ensure that all containers are sealed and refrigerated promptly to maintain freshness.
Maintenance :
Rinse with Warm Water : Flush the system with warm water to remove residual milk. This step is crucial in preventing the build-up of curd and bacteria, which can spoil the milk.
Use Mild Detergent : After rinsing, clean the components with a mild detergent that is safe for food products. Avoid harsh chemicals that could leave residues harmful to livestock and affect milk quality.
Sanitize : Once cleaned, sanitize all parts using a food-safe disinfectant. Allow them to air-dry completely before reassembly to inhibit bacterial growth.
Check for Wear and Tear : Inspect hoses, seals, and rubber components for signs of wear. Cracks, tears, or hardening can affect the vacuum pressure and overall functioning.
Teat Cups Inspection : Look at the teat cups for irregularities. They should have pliable rubber that conforms well to the teats without causing pain or discomfort to the animal.
