Short Description
Made in India Chaff/Grass Cutter With Conveyor For Animal Feed,
3 HP Motor, 1800 Kg/hr Cutting Capacity
4 Manganese Blades
Country of origin: India
Description
Chaff/Grass cutter is a mechanical device used to cut straw or hay into small uniform pieces for feeding livestock. The chaff cutter machine consists of a conveyor for automating the feed which needs to be processed, a gear for adjusting the fodder cutting size and 4 blades that chop the fodder into manageable lengths, making it easier for animals to consume aiding their digestion and improving overall health. Chaff/Grass cutter is commonly used in agricultural settings to process green agricultural waste, which is later on mixed with other forage materials making it suitable for consumption for cattle, horses and other livestock. The high volume cutting capacity of the machine makes it suitable for conducting large scale fodder cutting operations, making it suitable for commercial usage.
Features
:
Conveyor Belt: This chaff cutter is equipped with a conveyor belt which automatically intakes the feed material when placed on it.
Gear Operated: The cutting size of the fodder can be controlled using the gear, which gives the user the freedom to cut the raw material into desired sizes.
High Cutting Capacity: This machine is capable of achieving the cutting capacity of 1100-1800 kilos per hour making it suitable for domestic and commercial grade fodder cutting operations.

Usage
:
1. Setting Up the Chaff Cutter:
Positioning: Place the chaff cutter on a flat, stable surface where it can operate safely. Ensure there is enough space around it for operation and maintenance.
2. Loading Materials:
Prepare Feed Materials: Cut straw, hay, or other feed materials into manageable lengths if necessary. This helps in smooth feeding into the cutter.
Feed Material into the Inlet: Gradually load the prepared materials onto the conveyor belt. Avoid overloading as this can cause jams or reduce efficiency.
3. Operating the Chaff Cutter:
Start the Motor: Turn on your power source to start the motor connected to your chaff cutter.
Monitor Operation: Keep an eye on how well materials are being fed into the machine and adjust as necessary. The conveyor belt should move smoothly without any interruptions.
4. Collecting Processed Chaff:
Direct Output Collection: Position containers or bags under the discharge area of the chaff cutter to collect processed chaff efficiently as it exits from the machine.
Regular Checks: Periodically check for blockages in both cutting and conveyor areas during operation to maintain efficiency.
5. Turn Off Equipment:
Once you finish using the chaff cutter, turn off your power source before performing any maintenance tasks.
Remove any residual material from both cutting blades and conveyor belts to prevent rust or damage.
Maintenance:
Regular Inspections: Conduct regular checks on the chaff cutter parts. Pay particular attention to bolts and nuts; if any are loose, tighten them immediately to prevent operational issues.
Lubrication: Every part of the chaff cutter requires lubrication. Clean the components thoroughly before adding lithium grease. Ensure that the gearbox is lubricated with oil every season, while the main bearing should be lubricated at least once a year.
Dust Removal: When adding lubricating oil, it is crucial to remove any dust or debris to avoid contamination that could impair functionality.
Wear and Deformation Checks: Regularly check all parts for signs of wear or deformation. If any issues are identified, replace those parts promptly to maintain safe operation.
Applications
:
Feed Cost Management: The cost incurred behind purchasing feed for cattle is saved by using the chaff cutter, as it acts as a fodder production machinery and helps in converting green waste into fodder for cattle and other animals.
Time & Labor Savings: This machine not only helps in fodder preparation but also saves a lot of time by automating the process of cutting fodder and saving both time and labor.
Waste Reduction: It helps in efficient waste management as no plant product is left out as waste. They are utilized by converting them into fodder for cattle.
Fodder Preparation & Nutritional Enhancements: The Chaff cutter helps in the preparation of fodder for animals. The materials are cut into uniform pieces which retain the required nutrients in it.
Ensures Animal Health: As the chaff cutter helps in achieving uniform cutting size of the plant products which are used as fodder for the animals. It ensures that the animals don't reject any part of their meal which aids the digestion of the animals and is considered appropriate for their health and well-being.
