It features an intuitive control panel that allows users to easily monitor and adjust temperature and humidity levels, crucial for successful hatching. Its durable construction ensures optimal insulation and energy efficiency, while the transparent viewing window enables constant observation of the incubation process.
Features
:
User-Friendly Interface: Simplifies operation with intuitive controls and easy-to-read indicators.
Temperature Control: Maintains optimal temperature settings, often with digital displays for precise monitoring.
Hatching Ratio : 80-95 % (Depending upon egg quality)
Body Material : ABS Fiber
Required Power : 60 Watt
Battery Support : Yes
Usage
:
1. Prepare the Incubator:
Clean the Incubator: Before using it, clean all surfaces with a diluted bleach solution (20 drops of household bleach in 1 quart of water) to eliminate any potential pathogens. Allow it to air dry completely.
Set Up in a Stable Environment: Place the incubator in a location with minimal temperature fluctuations, ideally between 21-24 degrees Celsius. Avoid areas near windows or vents.
2. Calibrate Temperature and Humidity:
Plug in the incubator and allow it to reach operating temperature for at least 24 hours before adding eggs.
Set the temperature between 37.2 and 38.9 degrees Celsius. Check that this temperature remains stable over time.
Fill the humidity pan with warm water according to your incubator’s instructions, ensuring that humidity levels are maintained between 25% and 60% during most of the incubation period, increasing to 70-80% during the last three days before hatching.
3. Obtain Fertile Eggs:
Acquire fertile eggs from local hatcheries or farmers, ensuring they are laid within the last 7-10 days for optimal viability.
4. Setting Up Eggs:
Wash your hands thoroughly before handling eggs.
Allow cool eggs to come to room temperature gradually before placing them in the incubator to avoid condensation on their shells.
5. Monitoring Conditions:
Regularly check both temperature and humidity levels throughout incubation, adjusting as necessary based on your specific model’s guidelines.
Maintenance:
Cleaning the Incubator: To clean the incubator, remove all accessories, including egg trays and water dishes, and dispose of any unused eggs. Then, clean the incubator with warm water and a mild detergent, paying attention to areas with accumulated dirt or debris. After cleaning, disinfect the incubator with a commercial disinfectant or a mixture of one part white vinegar to nine parts water. Finally, rinse the incubator thoroughly with clean water and let it air dry before replacing the accessories and eggs.
Additional Maintenance Tasks: Additional maintenance tasks include checking the egg turner to ensure it is functioning correctly and turning the eggs manually if necessary. It is also essential to monitor the incubator’s performance and address any issues promptly to prevent malfunctions. Regularly checking the incubator’s temperature and humidity levels and cleaning the incubator every few weeks or after each use can help maintain its optimal performance.
Applications
:
Poultry Farming:One of the primary applications of automatic egg incubators is in poultry farming. They are widely used for hatching chicken eggs, which is essential for commercial poultry production. By providing a controlled environment, these incubators increase the hatch rate and ensure that chicks are healthy and viable.
Educational Purposes:Automatic egg incubators are frequently employed in educational settings such as schools and universities for biology classes or agricultural programs. They offer students hands-on experience with animal husbandry and embryology, allowing them to observe the entire hatching process from start to finish.
Hobbyist Breeding: Many hobbyists who raise birds at home find automatic egg incubators invaluable for breeding their pets or rare bird species. These devices simplify the hatching process by automating temperature control and turning mechanisms, making it easier for individuals without extensive experience in breeding to successfully hatch eggs.
