The Ridger is used for making ridges for row crops as well as for opening furrows for water flow. The ridger should be used when the soil is slightly moist and used only after tilling the land once or twice. It is used for making ridges for row crops such as sugarcane, potato, chillies, bananas etc. as well as for opening furrows for water flow. It is designed as a robust plough to enable the ridge to be pulled up in a single pass without needing any tractors. This also marks out the position for tram lining the crop.
