Usage
:
1. Set Up the Machine Ensure that your noodle pasta maker is clean and free of any previous dough residue. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for assembly, if needed. Place the machine on a flat, stable surface to ensure safe operation.
2. Divide the Dough After resting, divide your pasta dough into manageable portions. Typically, a piece the size of a fist is a good start. Keep the other portions wrapped so they do not dry out while you work with one.
3. Flatten the Dough Before passing the dough through the rollers, you may want to flatten it slightly with your hands or a rolling pin to make it easier to feed through the machine. Make sure it's roughly the width of the rollers.
4. Adjust the Roller Settings Noodle/Pasta makers have adjustable settings that determine the thickness of the dough. Choose the desired settings and move on further with the process.
5. Roll the Dough Gently feed the flattened dough into the machine, making sure it lies flat. Turn the handle or switch on the machine, depending on your model, and allow the dough to pass through. Catch it with your other hand to prevent it from tearing.
6. Cut the Noodles Once you have rolled out your desired thickness, it’s time to cut the pasta. If your machine has a built-in cutter, switch to that setting and feed the rolled dough through. If not, use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut it into your preferred shapes.
7. Dry the Pasta After cutting, lay the noodles flat on a floured surface or hang them on a pasta drying rack to prevent sticking. Allow them to dry slightly before cooking, or use them fresh if you prefer.
8. Cook Your Fresh Pasta Fresh pasta cooks significantly faster than dried pasta. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and add your noodles. Cook for 2-4 minutes, tasting for the desired doneness. Drain and pair with your favorite sauce!
Maintenance :
Wash and Sanitize : Use warm water and a non-corrosive detergent to wash the detachable parts thoroughly. Always sanitize before reassembling to eliminate any bacterial residue. Inspect the Motor and Electrical Parts : Check for dust accumulation around the motor and electrical components. Use a dry cloth or compressed air to remove any dust. Check for Residue Buildup : Look for any pasta or flour residue that may have accumulated in crevices and remove it using a soft brush. Rollers and Knives : Inspect for sharpness and replace dulled components to ensure consistent noodle quality. Use Proper Lubricants : Always utilize food-grade lubricants to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Scheduled Maintenance : Partner with skilled technicians for semi-annual or annual inspections to identify any mechanical or electrical issues that might not be visible.
